Your journey around the Cabot Trail will delight and amaze you. A new discovery awaits around almost every turn – some of the most spectacular scenery you have ever witnessed, colourful artisan shops and studios, encounters with wildlife, and much more.
This scenic travelway will lift you over majestic mountains with numerous stops at scenic look-offs, then will dip down into quaint fishing villages that hug the Atlantic Ocean coastline.
Along the way, you’ll learn how to catch lobsters, spot a bald eagle or moose and watch for pilot whales feeding off the coast. We’ll stretch our legs in the beautiful Cape Breton Highlands National Park, and you can dip your toes in a cascading waterfall. In the French Acadian community of Cheticamp, we’ll visit with local folk artists to discuss the art of
hand-made hooked rugs and browse in the gallery. Have your camera ready for the beautiful Margaree River, where anglers from around the world come to fish salmon.
